Sociedad Cultural Shungos Rojos

Sociedad Cultural Shungos Rojos LLC was founded in 2017 as a self-managed educational and cultural enterprise in Riobamba, Chimborazo Province, Ecuador — and recently formalized as an LLC in Kansas City, Missouri. We import and sell fine art, books, and handmade products from the Coast and the Sierra of Ecuador, bringing the richness of Ecuadorian culture to communities across the United States.

Our Purpose

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to culture, education, and community. The name Shungos Rojos — meaning "red hearts" in Kichwa — reflects our passion for the people and traditions we serve. Every product we offer is a bridge between artisans, artists, and readers in Ecuador and the wider world.

25% of every sale goes directly to fund our Biblioteca Itinerante Inti Puruhá — a traveling library that has already shared over 5,000 books with families and schools across Ecuador. Your purchase helps us keep turning pages and opening minds.
